As we are within a week of the Chicago Toy Soldier Show (OTSN), I have been checking the websites of various manufacturers for new product announcements. Many of the manufacturers will introduce new products at the Show, and I am very anxious to inspect these new sets:
1) Britains: Their new Yorktown series, plus a closer look at their ACW Jackson in the Valley figures.
2) East of India: Ken's new additions to his line of Ancient Greeks -- 4 more Greek phalanx sets and a set of casualties; plus 12 sets of Persians with their mercenary allies: Scythian Archers, Thracian Peltasts, Immortals, and Persian infantry.
3) Edmund’s Traditional Toy Soldiers: Ed is a fellow resident of San Francisco who casts and paints all his own traditional, parade, glossy ACW, Revolutionary War, and US Army & Marines through history figures. He usually adds two or three new sets to his catalog.
4) Figarti: 6 new additions to their WWII Pacific Marines with the new painting standard, new Viet Nam line, a new vehicle, plus a “new 1/32 line that has not been done in the matte, realistic style.”
5) Frontline: Gerard and Howard's new French & Indian War and ACW sets.
6) Honour Bound: Bergepanther in three paint schemes, the field kitchen in three paint schemes and possibly the two infantry patrols.
7) King & Country: New WS and FOB, Crusaders, Alamo; plus the dioramas by Gordon and surprises hinted by Andy!!!
8) New Model Army: Blake of NMA will be displaying his new products like the Strumtigers, Schwimwagons and the new Fallschirmjagers in George Guerriero’s room.
9) Old Northwest Trading Co.: With Ken busily sculpting for Britains, I am not sure if ONWTC will have anything new besides the latest Del Prado releases.
10) Ted Toys: Glossy ACW figures with lots action poses and variations.
Are there other new figures or products fellow forum members are anxious to see? Looking forward to meeting you at the Show!!!
