As we are within a week of the Chicago Toy Soldier Show (OTSN), I have been checking the websites of various manufacturers for new product announcements. Many of the manufacturers will introduce new products at the Show, and I am very anxious to inspect these new sets:

1) Britains: Their new Yorktown series, plus a closer look at their ACW Jackson in the Valley figures.

2) East of India: Ken's new additions to his line of Ancient Greeks -- 4 more Greek phalanx sets and a set of casualties; plus 12 sets of Persians with their mercenary allies: Scythian Archers, Thracian Peltasts, Immortals, and Persian infantry.

3) Edmund’s Traditional Toy Soldiers: Ed is a fellow resident of San Francisco who casts and paints all his own traditional, parade, glossy ACW, Revolutionary War, and US Army & Marines through history figures. He usually adds two or three new sets to his catalog.

4) Figarti: 6 new additions to their WWII Pacific Marines with the new painting standard, new Viet Nam line, a new vehicle, plus a “new 1/32 line that has not been done in the matte, realistic style.”

5) Frontline: Gerard and Howard's new French & Indian War and ACW sets.

6) Honour Bound: Bergepanther in three paint schemes, the field kitchen in three paint schemes and possibly the two infantry patrols.

7) King & Country: New WS and FOB, Crusaders, Alamo; plus the dioramas by Gordon and surprises hinted by Andy!!!

8) New Model Army: Blake of NMA will be displaying his new products like the Strumtigers, Schwimwagons and the new Fallschirmjagers in George Guerriero’s room.

9) Old Northwest Trading Co.: With Ken busily sculpting for Britains, I am not sure if ONWTC will have anything new besides the latest Del Prado releases.

10) Ted Toys: Glossy ACW figures with lots action poses and variations.

Are there other new figures or products fellow forum members are anxious to see? Looking forward to meeting you at the Show!!!:) :D

Steven,

You get a big thumbs up for this research. I'm interested in what Ron Ley of Somerset may have if you have the opportunity to take some photos in his room. Thanks again.

Great summary Steven:

I received the Michigan Toy Soldier newsletter this morning stating they're bringing the Old Northwest Trading Company's new ETO-011 -- Rangers Lead the Way - 4 U.S. Rangers in Action and ETO-012 -- In Defense of the Hedge -- 4 Waffen SS in Action to the Chicago Show.

Carlos

My guess for new Figarti serie "never been done in matt finish" : Delhi Durbar.

Pierre.

...and 2 WWI tanks, French & US with figures, WWI German infantry, 2 new ACW sets and well... stop and see us at the show! Thanks Ken Osen

...and for W.Britain/1st Gear...don't forget about the WWI early war sets, WWII ETO sets, the Waterloo defense of Hougoumont, the gloss VC range and the new classics Redcoats & Bluecoats. See you there too!

Ken,

I have always enjoyed ONTC figures for WWII European Theater. Each new release is better than the last and its great having you sculpt the Britains new WWII figures, vehicles and artillery. It just simply expands the selection available to those who strictly collect 1/32.

The beauty with this scale is that it goes nicely with WWII FOV, Build-A-Rama/ JGM diorama materials and of course your buildings. You could lump is Conte figures to if you don't mind mixing 1/32 styles. I do and I have a lot of fun.

I couldn't help myself. I had to put something together, photograph it and post it. LOL

The tankers are 1/35 figures the rest are FOV figures, Britains and ONTC figures and customized tank. I almost forgot, Build-A-Rama materials and tank stowage. This is just another example of how combining piece parts from several companies can be fun and create a very effective scene.

Thanks for pics Carlos. I enjoy seeing your work. I am looking at ways to customize some FOV vehicles and figures. This gives me inspiration. Leadmen

From the non metal side of things, I'll have the new 21st Century M7 Priest as well as the Vikings, Romans, Knights, ACW Union and Confederates and the Pirates from Forces of Valor all in 1/32nd scale.........

For plastic collectors there will be a new Barzo set, don,t have a clue as to what it will be. And there will be a new TSSD release, hopefully a playset, I know what this is but don,t want to give it away.

Dear Steven,

Great research there! We will be arriving on the Wednesday and should have our room set up by lunchtime on Thursday so please drop round. I have your cavalry set already packed!

Yes we will be bringing all the sets you mentioned plus "some surprises"! One of which can be previewed here.

I look forward to seeing you all at sometime during the show.

Wow Rick and Ken,

Stunning piece! I really look forward to seeing that next week.

Dear Steven,

Alas no.

I really spent most of the last 6 months bolstering up the Greek forces and their Persian opposition. We are a relatively small company but still we have achieved 23 new sets in the “Ancient Collection” in the last year.

Cavalry and chariots are been worked on now and also I have ideas for new “Colonial and Shogun Collection” sets for our next years production. More details later on these!

All the best
