Had a email and flyer today, saying they are launching a new range of a farm series in 1/30, these could turn out to be useful in diorama's. Time will tell. Robin.

Especially the farm equipment and maybe some additional buildings? They can be used in almost any era.
Keeping fingers crossed

Robin,
Double check your email. My message was from First Gear which is not connected to Britains since March last year.

Wasn't this line announced earlier this year? I recall seeing an add in Toy Soldier & Model Figure for new Britains farm figures, depicting people from the middle of the 19th century or so.

Prost!

The 1st-Gear product release is for modern period and was modeled at 1/25th scale to use with their vehicles while I still worked for the company.

Unless these were remastered in a smaller scale they will not work with even the larger K&C figures. The two sets mastered by the creative team were very well done and modeled from life with help from a local farm in Iowa. I have sent an inquiry to the fine folks at 1st-Gear to confirm the scale issue.

These are not W. Britain products, so I cannot comment beyond this.

All the best,
Ken

Hi Again,
On the W. Britain side of this subject, yes there are more items patterned for the frontier and early village agricultural and non military side of things. This includes new figure sculpts, animals and accessories. I am working on the needed buildings for the H&A side too. It can be slow work researching and detailing it correctly.

You are right Brett, thinking there was still some association. So opposition now. Does not look to much of a threat to Britain's, a boy hand feeding a calf which appears to be all one piece on a base with a back fence, marketed as 1/30. Should close this thread and in future discuss under chat. Robin.

Just had another email from 1st gear saying first email typo, not 1/30, but 1/25, so certainly no longer interested. Robin.
