Loved these figures when they first came out. I used to have a display of the old Airfix FFL, Fort Sahara, Arabs together with WB detail range of FFL and Arabs, a few gloss figures and some Del Prado style FFL series released in France showing the Legion from various conflicts. It was a very colourful display particularly with the Airfix packaging in the background and the JG Miniatures Foreign Legion fort.

Then finally a manufacturer who produced a matte range. Wonderful stuff but unless it's unusual (field gun and crew perhaps) then I am going to cut down as I have more than enough. The problem when you can't permanently display your collection is you just keep adding to it without realising what you have got. I suppose after another year or so I may get the same with the Japs/Aussies and I probably already have enough Luftwaffe when I add in the K&C stuff.

Mind you typing this has made me think having my old collection of FFL stuff and then the TG FFL and Arabs would make a wonderful display of toy soldiers covering this colourful and romantic unit.

So TG whats next on the agenda - any chance of some Mexicans for the Mexican Adventure spin off figures?

Keep up the great output

Gary

Agree no more endless foot figures are needed. Could not see your pack donkey set, no doubt you have it. The artillery piece has been touted to be here soon. That will be a must. Robin.

Artillery piece and a Mule accessory pack are due out soon, August hopefully for the Mules with the artillery set making a showing at Chicago. With regards to new ranges we hear you loud and clear! Once again I suspect we will announce these at Chicago so keep your eyes and ears peeled and thank you all for your support.

Kind Regards Vicki

What a nice collection. I did not realize TG had brought out that number of figures covering this subject

Yep pack donkey there. You can see it just out of focus in the first picture. That was worth getting.

Worth to mention that the great TG FFL Series cover the Sahara/Madagascar/Indochina and the Mexican Adventure periods....To spot who is who pay close attention to the pictures and you will see that the soldiers wearing red trousers, white leather leggings and 1857 percussion muskets belong to the Mexican Adventure, while the others belonging to the period between 1870 to 1900s have either a kepi or a pith helmet and carry the Lebel rifle.

With TGM's excellent coverage of the FFL and their equally nice range of WW1 figures, I'm a little surprised that TGM hasn't done the FFL in their famous and distinctive mustard khaki uniforms of mid and later WW1 years. Even amongst the massive numbers and slaughter of the Western Front, the FFL had a reputation second to none. -- Al

Lancer,

Fully agree and that would give us the FFL followers yet another variation to complement our collections ...... The khaki clad FFL would work great as WW1, and 1920´s dioramas with opportunities to explore the RIF War and many other 1920´s adventures...
Cheers
