NEW RELEASES FOR APRIL 2021
THE CONQUEST OF AMERICA
SPANISH CONQUISTADORS

CQ-07_2_.jpg

From the moment of Christopher Columbus' discovery of lands previously unknown to Europe in
1492, the New World captured the imagination of European adventurers. Thousands of men came
to the New World to seek fortune, glory, and land. For two centuries, these men explored the New
World, conquering any native people they came across in the name of the King of Spain (and the
hope of gold). They came to be known as the Conquistadors.

The series still appears to have legs judging by the amount of pro types shown. Robin.

I agree, I am looking forward to the 3 Crossbowmen, i am still a few behind in the older stuff, 6 or 7 sets, but will pick up at some point. I collect a lot of eras and theartres, my main collection being K & C WW2, but on this series, as well as the Saxons/Vikings i am particularly enjoying collection toy soldiers/figures without the vehicles.

Then you probably will be looking even more forward to the 5 Crossbowmen ;)

(The prototypes are 5 Crossbowmen, 5 Handgunners and 3 Pikemen)

Cheers, your eyesight is better than mine, I am 40% more looking forward, cheers. Just looked at the picture on my laptop, instead of my phone, they really do look great, great array of figures.

Has anyone seen any new Aztecs or as my friends young child calls them "The men fighting in their pajamas".

As collectors with some older figures (Morgan Miniatures in this case), we love to see JJD & others cover unique areas/fields/ranges/series and undone or underdone sets and vignettes within those series.
So we, for example, have plenty of MM Pikemen, but are anticipating some Crossbowmen and Arquebusiers, hoping they will be released before the 500th Anniversary of the Fall of the Aztecs, when we intend to open our horde for display.
There is no comparison to the quality of JJD's figures in this area unless you go Russian and then you can never do a complete scene in this area.
Best Wishes, Stay Safe,
And may I just say that JJD is nailing it in several areas/fields.etc...
