Hi Guys here is a little more cheer for those of you in lockdown, one of the new Romans coming soon from the team at TG. Thanks to Sahara Joe for his help with this set.

This is most interesting as it gives an inclining of the complexity and different mediums which go into each figure.

There is a mention of Jewish rebels, so is there a specific era or event in mind here?

Rebellions under Nero and Hadrian !

I would rather see some Britons to oppose the 9th Legion.

Going by the look of this future release figures beard, TG have moved on from Britons as produced already both the original Ancients and the newer Chariot and 2 foot figures in two different paint schemes to what appears to be a German.

No plans to visit the middle east Steve, but we are doing more Britons this year in what should be an epic recreation!

So Barbarians of a type (German? Gallic?) all excellent; just so long as they are not somehow Australian ones! I think toy solider companies have produced enough figures for every man, woman and child in the continent!

Thanks for the reply TG, though I do really think you are missing out on what I consider would be a a very good seller for TG more so than all the other enemies of Rome put together in my opinion.

Some other manufacturer is going to cop on to the fact that quite a few of our Jewish collector friends for whom a line portraying the Jewish revolts against Rome would be a must have and would very likely entice other non collectors to purchase them for the history it represents to our Jewish friends here and elsewhere and of course to many other Roman history buffs who'd snap them up too !

Hopefully you will reconsider the suggestion and lead the way and not be a follower !

no, these 2 piece hand to hand combat are fabulous

we never get to see items like this, this is what we need in our dioramas not more single poses
you can only make the celt or roman in so many combat poses,

the hand to hand are gruesome, realistic and unique

Stick to the Celts and Gauls and Punic wars

best part of Roman history, the middle east was minor compared to mainland Europe battles

and by far most popular with collectors

I would love to see some Vespasian and Titus during the uprising in Judea. Major turning point in history and some epic scenes.
