Hi Guys,
Not sure if it is too late to do changes on the figure..but it would be highly improbable that the soldier would be firing this .30 belt fed Browning machine gun holding it as he is on the front part of the firing mechanism close to the actual barrel bare hands..that piece of metal really gets hot...pics that I have seen have the soldier either holding by the handle on top ( one of the reasons it is there other than to carry the piece ) or holding as he is but wearing insulate glove so as to give the hand a certain level of protecion.........{sm3}{sm3}{sm3}{sm3}{sm3}

I could be wrong, but I don't think the soldier is firing the machine gun as he advances. It appears to me he is merely moving forward? But I do agree it would be difficult to fire this weapon in the position he has it in.

Thanks for your comments guys, this is a prototype sculpt, we already added the gloves so he could be doing either.

This is going to be a great line with endless possibilities both from a historical standpoint as well as the obvious toy soldier angle.

I like this series, but from many pictures i've seen of Dien Bien Phu and other operations i can see the Paras always wore jump boots and not those British puttees. Hope this is corrected!

Here is a plate by Mike Chappell, there are lot of pictures of Paras and soldiers wearing jumping boots and not puttees.

Thanks, i couldn't see well the boots but i was basing my judgment also on the previous release of a figure (the only since now) from this series. That one is obviously wearing puttees. https://www.treefrogtreasures.com/p-32186-french-foreign-legion-paratrooper-nco.aspx

I actually think he was meant to be wearing American boots as well but they painted him as if wearing puttees, will make a mental note to keep an eye on this for the next batch, thanks for pointing this out.
Regards Jack
