Hi guy,

Here are the new sets that we released this week:

229 - Silver horns band from Cutch, Delhi Durbar, 1903

230 - Italian Bersaglieri on pony, Boxer Rebellion

231 - German mounted light dragoons, WWI

All availble from Treefrog Treasures. Set 229 should be over there already, and the other 2 are shipping next week.

I just got this set from my friends here at Treefrog. It came with the UPS guy today! It is excellent and well done. Good Contrast while on parade with my other sets. The horns are amazing. Thanks Ana.

This may not be one of the new sets, but I received the Cutch Spear Bearers today. These guys are beautifully done. I am buying Beau Geste Delhi Durbars to enhance my Britain collection and I try to select sets that are completely different (color and otherwise) than anything done by Britains. I have not been disappointed yet. I suppose I should just bite the bullet and order an elephant next. I'm saving my change...

Welcome to the wonderful world of the Delhi Durbar! I have been fortunate to complete my collection of Britains Delhi Durbar figures/sets and I have been purchasing Beau Geste Durbar sets as my funds allow. I think the Beau Geste figures are magnificent and I intend to add many more over a period of time. I do own some of the Beau Geste elephants and I have no doubt that you will be very impressed with the sculpting, detailing, and painting of these great sets.

If you have the time and inclination, I would love to see some pictures of your Durbar collection. Please keep the rest of us Durbar collectors informed regarding the additions to your collection. Several of us on the forum collect the Durbar and we are always interested in discovering additional Durbar collectors.

Thank you for your interest. I just tried to upload some photos and they are too large (jpgs). Does anyone know how I can convert these so I can post them? Thanks for your help.

Thanks so much for posting those for me, Jazzeum, although I'm not completely happy with the display. I need more display space (although I'm sure this is a problem for most toy soldier collectors). I have had them in their boxes for almost a year trying to figure out how to display them in true parade form. I finally decided it was better to enjoy them out of the box, crowded onto a cabinet, than not at all.

Just FYI... I also collect nineteenth century engraved prints of scenes from India that I am about to have matted and framed to put in the same room. They, also, are works of art. Thanks again for posting those for me!

Scott, that is a large, stand up trunk/cabinet with two doors and a drawer that is covered in a "leather" reproduction map. It's just a cheap cabinet that I bought to keep board games (and soldier boxes in) and it is about five feet tall. It's the perfect height to display on.

Thanks, Pat. I know I've enjoyed seeing your pictures, as well. Did you notice the Britains 15th Ludhiana Sikhs from 1993 in the foreground? They're the ones with the British flag. That set is a particular favorite of mine. I got it on Ebay a few years ago and would love to find some more from that series but I don't know anything about it. Maybe someone here does?

I also have some other odd (handpainted?) "unarmed" Sikhs near the rear whose arms have fallen off. I have them standing there as spectators with their arms in a pile behind them. I'm going to try to position them back on with some tacky wax when I have time.
