Hi again,

The Shores of Tripoli series is back with set #3. Back to the origins, we are producing them here again, with a full schedule of releases to complete the whole series in bimonthly releases.

Aren't they beautiful? I love the colors :)

We're very excited to get this line going again. We'll now keep the releases coming every few months until the range in complete.

Very nice figures from HB. I think that mounted figure would also look good in the WB matte Durbar series. Wrong period I know but I think it would work.

the figure on foot looks like a Greek Evzone uniform. Is there a relationship to it?

These were Greek mercenaries working with William Eaton and his small band of marines as they crossed the desert to attack Derne.

Ironically, the 'Shores of Tripoli' from the Marine hymn consisted of a grand total of 8 marines, with about 500 random mercenaries (Greek, arab, etc).

I know, interesting isn't it?

From a Marines perspective, without the eight Marines, Eaton would have needed at least another 500 mercenaries. :D

Probably true, Keith!

The mercenaries were amazed that the marines would cross the desert in those uniforms! Talk about discipline!
