Hello,

I'm releasing a new line of single figures, featuring characters and personalities of the world, real or fictional. Here is the first one, this one was a must for me. Do you know who he is?

Pope Francis. A great way to start your series:salute:::salute:::salute:::salute:::salute::

An excellent likeness. You should send one to him.

Very lifelike, this looks like it will be a fun series ! Any idea when the first figures will be released?

Any thoughts Ana about making figures from literature?

How about WWII Life Photographer Margaret Bourke-White?

Scott - I'll be sending the newsletter announcing the first figure this week :)

Brad - Definitely yes

Randy - great suggestion. Thanks for sharing it. I'll include her in my list.

I love it Ana! We saw him in Rome in April and even though I am not Catholic it was a moving experience.

I would like to see members of the British Royal family if you are taking suggestions....past and present :)

Ana,

Since you are taking suggestions, my first inclination was to suggest some characters from War & Peace but instead how about some characters from Spanish literature like Don Quijote or better still Lazarillo de Tormes. I'm sure Lazarillo is not known to many but to me he is one of the great characters in literature; I've read it in Spanish and a couple of times in English. One thing I've found about toy soldiers is that they can you get you interested in historical periods you know nothing about.

Saludos,

Brad

If we are throwing things out there...I would love to see the characters from Moby Dick
Queequeg would make an awesome figure!

Brad - Lazarillo is very interesting. I'll have him in mind, even if he's not well known except on Spanish literature readers. A good thing about this line is that, if you don't know the character much, you get to know him or her better.

Queequeg is a wonderful character, I love the idea. Thank you, Zach.

I got a suggestion from a person whose opinion I appreciate much. He suggested Gunga Din. I liked the idea.

What do you think?

So here I am, introducing my new line, named Daniel's line.
Francis is ready. Here he is, gloss and matte versions

Merry Christmas to all!!!

Very nice Ana. I think the matte version may be best, at least in my opinion.

Do you have any ideas what the second figure will be.

Brad

Thank you, Brad. The thing about the matte version is that, as I don't have any matte painters any more, I have to paint each figure myself, which will make it a bit more expensive than a usual matte figure.

I'm going for Gunga Din second :)

Ana
