Greetings fellow Treefroggers! I have started a new project. 50 Spartans at one time. Most of them are the same 5 poses. They account for 40 of them. That leaves another 10 of the "special" poses. These will be for sale when this is completed. I am actually close to the half way mark now. There is a lot of detail on the Conte Plastic Spartans as you will see. There will also be a bit of mayhem involved with the Many Deaths of Keenycus. More will be revealed.......

Vera nice KV, Vera Nice. TS always look better in large numbers - and these will be no exception, when they are completed.

Hope that now you are over the half-way point - you have passed the "Why did I start this project at all" phase! I know the feeling of painting large numbers of the same - or very closely related - figures - vera well. Well done - will look forward to the completed set - they look just fab!:cool:jb

Looking good in formation. :smile2: Are you going for the full 300 effect?

Thank you gentlemen. I appreciate the comments.

Jeff, that really depends on how fast they sell. It would be cool. However one could just keep buying them and then they could have the 300 ! I have a couple of 1/32 C-47s to build also.{sm2}

Hi KV,

Very cool! Thanks for sharing the photos of your great work!

Very Cool! I would love to hear your comments on priming in Black. I hve been trying to cover black primer with red for ages andnot happy with the result- have reverted to priming in white. Also I agree, 300 of these could find a spot in my display area...once I reorganize it.
I put brush to wee men last night will post pics soonish.

KV,

What paint did you use for the bronze shields?

These are looking good!

Scott
I use Vallejo almost exclusively. It is the bronze color. I sometimes use a copper wash on it. we'll just have to see.

Grant, since I usually paint the shield a solid metal first the red is not an issue there. However, the tunic just gets several coats and then highlighted. I may use three different reds depending on my mood.{sm4}

The trick I think is to be thorough.

Coming on a treat! Actually they look quite good with blabk helmet plumes. ^&cool
