Does anyone on this segment of Treefrog, know when the first new figures will be out on the USMC?..............Stryker

Why did Britains allow the main photo of the Continental Maries to be taken with a bent bayonet? I have seen that same photo in the new Britains Standard magazine and on their website. It is now being using at the retail level. Surely they could have straightened the bayonet before taking the pictures. Britains what were you thinking? :-(

Perhaps it just looks that way (camera angle) IMO I use the photo as a guidleline. IE the Jaipur elephant was displayed with a bent Standard pole. I knew full well that Britains wouldn't be sending their sets out like that and that it was a pre-production piece. Richard later confirmed that was the case.

thanks britfarmer, as I understand,-- this series is to go from the revolution to present times?...............Stryker

The WB box insert that I wrote covers the USMC from 1775 to the Boxer Rebellion of 1900. I have an assignment for 2010 from Richard Walker to prepare a sequel covering from WWI to Afghanistan.

...As a note to those that see the various bent bayonets on images of new W. Britain product. These photos are often of the original paint masters that are cast in resin. It does not take long for the heat of the photo floods to warp these small parts and the photographer does not always understand what has happened, and then the graphic artist uses the image before anyone else notices.
We have hopefully solved this and you should see less of this!

As far as the Marine series, we are hoping to develop this to cover a broader time span as we did with the Black Watch. I personally would have liked to see this cover marines in general to include other nations... but that will have to wait for now.

All the Best,
Ken Osen
