Set no. 16046 "The Ambush" is very nice.

But .........^&confuse
When clicking on it in the Clash of Empire section on your web store, the describing text says "Not yet released - expected in Winter".
Is that serious, or is that a typo?
That could actually be one year from now {eek3}
In one year, many battles get fought on the Toy Soldier displays, collections get changed around, plenty of new stuff is coming up (from others) every month.
I don't think that announcing a set with a possible release time of an entire year is a good idea :wink2:
Just sayin

On the whole I agree with you there. Britain's need to tighten their act from the collectors point of view, showing to being stocked, has at present too much of a time lag.
Hopefully, as ken and team get to grips, this will happen and while I don't expect this overnight, the sooner they get tuned in, then everyone will be happier ! I can't say happy as there is always going to be the hard to please section of collectors !
Yes I know what I said about pre orders and not ordering them, but I've got this set on pre order and look forward to it, it really looks amazing a true work of art !

Steve

Both of these sets are in stock here, the UK and at your favorite retailers.

A really atmospheric photo, you can almost feel the tension.
Steve

Of course Ken, what would really look good was if you zoomed out out of the photo and we got to see some Redcoats or Rangers. Hint, hint !{sm4}

Sorry - that was my fault! I missed moving that one over but Aron caught it on Saturday and fixed it on the site.
100% human error on my part -- I logged a few extra sleep hours over the weekend so hopefully this week I am a bit more 'with it' :eek:

I just got my ACW civilians. They are very well done. I'll post some pictures later tonight so you can see. If you've been on the fence, buy them with no fear! I am quite impressed

Got 16046 today. Didn't realize the indians were separate from the base which is a plus IMO.^&grin.

Whenever possible I like to either minimize the base or make the figures removable. This is also the case with the Native American warrior jumping the fence. He is attached by a pin in the palm of the hand. This allows more flexibility including using the scenic without the figures. This is why I rarely design a casualty fixed to a base.

It is a different issue with crew operated weapons like machine guns. In this case I often have to have at least one figure attached to the gun if it is firing. I am dealing with that reality right now on a couple of WWI and WWII sets in development.
The figures in these sets were also pinned rather than permanently affixed.

All the best,
Ken

That's a great set of action poses.

At the request for me to look at the new #16046 "The Ambush" set with my own eyes .... figured I may as well snap some more shots of it for you all to enjoy if you have not yet purchased this set!

Very nice! And the figures (as previously mentioned) are not attached so you have some versatility options!

The Ambush is my favorite release so far this year. I had to move one from my warehouse to my toy soldier room :)
