I have a dilemma, the new Britains WW2 items look so good, that some models like the first Stalingrad German Steyr and the fist US M8 armoured car look teriible.I wonder if it is worth getting them. The new versions are infinitly better and more realistic. What do other collectors think.?

The first M8 looks, from the pictures, like it is something I will not be getting any time soon. The newer version however is something I have already added to my wish list.

The Steyr is another story. I like the winter version. I have put together a small diorama of the Battle of the Bulge K&C with Department 56 winter trees and snow. I have also put the two Britains winter Panzer IV's and the winter Steyr with the K&C winter Tiger, Grille, Hetzer and all the K&C infantry sets. I think they look great together. And, since I am the one who bought them, looks at them every day, and seem to be the only one who really appreciates toy soldiers in my small town, that's all that counts for me.

The new Steyr is also something that I have added to my wish list.

The new styer is KOd! So buy the winter version and repaint it!;) Unless you do BOB or other winter colecting. ( actually the normandy version has a few bullett holes, I would imagine that was pretty much common place! So many choices now days I have had to limit myself to Normandy.... I just cant afford North Africa, Russia etc. Although I would love to see an good Italian set up. Re Paint all the New Falls add in another fifteen or so and give me a destroyed Monte Cassino!

I havent Jumped on anything Pacific, only Because K&C has backed down on the Pacific, Figarti is realitively new company? I would love to see ONWTC and Britians do something there????
