Apparently a family found some old WW2 combat films that were shot by their grandfather while in the US Army in Europe. Here's a link;

The above tells the story of finding the films and there is a second link to "raw footage" which is fantastic stuff. One can see scenes from Omaha Beach (I'm guessing because of the bluff) after the invasion with ships unloading at the Mulberry. There are shots of the US Army moving through Normandy in the St. Lo area, of ground life at a forward airfield, and a whole bunch of pre-DDay gun camera footage, labeled with pi.ot and unit information. I know the 354th Fighter group was flying P51Bs for the April, 1944 footage.
Anyway, as you watch the films look at the faces and remember these young men who gave so much for all of us. It's especially appropriate here on Veteran's Day in the US.
