Had a look at the new WW2 soldiers just produced ... they look very good. Are all troops to be sold as singles now? how are they going to be packed.
will there be no more boxes? Can we have some direction on what is heppening please.

I think three of them, the Gendarmerie Fallschirmjager, the Glider Soldier and the 101st Paratroopers will be Osprey Art , then i presume the box will be similar to the Osprey Art for the Zulu War:A red box with the Osprey plate on the front..for the other 3 i don't really know..clam pack?

Hi All!
You are spot on as far as the packaging. The Osprey WWII figures based on Ron Volstadt's work will be packaged like the AZW Osprey figures we did. The other figures will be clamshelled and also sold as singles.
The next wave will also be clamshelled singles with a mix of Osprey boxed figures and boxed two man heavy weapons sets.

Very elegant packaging Ken!I really love Angus McBride art (i just won a poster reproducing his famous gladiators , i did it responding to a few question on the Osprey site), and Volstad too is a great artist (i admire him since the dragon boxes).I hope the Osprey art series will continue with other themes and periods, i like very much for example Patrice Courcelle's plates..or Eugene Leliepvre's..:)The box in itself is a great incentive to buy!

Dear Ken thanks for the promt reply as always. another couple of questions..
Do i take it that the clamshelled single figures coming out will not than be sold in boxed sets later on (like the british infantry standing firing 17906A)

What exactly is the reason for these singles, i sort of got used to boxes, does it bring down the cost of the sets.?

Last wish list is a bofors anti aircraft gun. My father who is still alive was on a gun team in Malta during the war..
keep up the good work

Please let me know: the guy at the left, bring a BAR or a Garand?

The guy on the left has a BAR. Note the large size of the ammo belt for the BAR magazines and that the weapon has no upper wooden hand guard. -- lancer
