Ana has announced 2 new sets of German African Askari from WWI. A basic set (263) and an accessory set (Acc263). Here are BG's photos of the 2 sets and the 2 shown together. Congratulations to Beau Geste on another great subject and figures. BG is doing an outstanding job covering the colonial campaigns of the Great War.

Somerset's prices are higher than Ana's. Besides the competition is good and some of us are BG collectors. And like our sets to match:) I do agree that Somerset's figures are nice but way beyond my budget.

You can find some Somerset figures a little cheaper on ebay sometimes, particularly if not they're not well described.

Without meaning to slight BG or anybody else, I don't think anyone makes a better glossy figure than Somerset. I was fortunate to pick up a couple at a very good price at the Chicago show.

Have to agree about Somerset quality. I was very luckey to get his Indian lancers many years ago before pricing made them "not for the faint-hearted". I wish I could still afford them as they are by far my favorite glossies and are still #2 behind JJD's Hielanders. -- lancer
