Word from the media is that the 7.1 earthquake which impacted NZ today hasn't done major damage to the islands or the inhabitants. Hopefully, these reports are accurate and our Kiwi friends won't face any great disruptions in their day-to-day lives.

Yes hopefully there was no one hurt.Buildings can be rebuilt,people not so much.

Yes, and there was a devastating one in Italy on 24 August. Totally destroyed three towns.
Tonight, the first major hurricane Hermine is expected to hit Florida then up the Eastern Seaboard.
Then there were the floods in Louisiana, and thousands of homes destroyed by fires in the American West.

I haven't seen anything in the media, I hope our Kiwi friends across the ditch didn't suffer any injuries or damage to infrastructure.
