Yo Troopers, spent the afternoon viewing the Vectis live auction, a lot of Old Britains plus many other Manufacturers. The bidding was awesome on some of Britains sets well above the estimates, but also there were some great bargains to be had in the infantry boxed sets. I took Dickbuttons advice he told me always throw in a bid you never know you may get it cheap, thanks for that advice Dick:D, got the original Stadden Queens Own Hussars Drum Horse for £70.00 WOW, I mean its £75.00 just to buy the kit from them, and if they paint it for you now its £615.00. So to say I was pleased is an understatement. I know guys its on a plate lol & a stand but its going to be the centre piece for the cabinet.:p There was a lot of interest in Britains 1950s Army vehicles and the 1950s plastic sets. I did go for a few other items but you have to draw a line and remember the 22.5% buyers premium & postage, a £300.00 bid soon goes up to near £400.00 with these added on. Bet Norman Joplin was pleased with what he saw, with his auction coming up on the 22nd Nov, there still seems plenty of money out there to buy the old sets.

Looks like a great buy Bernard and certainly looks like a beautiful piece and will look great in your cabinet. What scale is it?

Bernard, seems you got a right bargain! You will have to reinforce your cabinet with all these goodies you have added lately :D.

Hi Bernard

You are now officially a thief! What a fantastic pick up!!! I look forward to seeing some photos of it when it takes its place in the display. Thanks for sharing.

All the best

lol, ask Wraith about the scouse reputation for being thieves lol.
They used to call me BATMAN at work, said I couldn't leave the yard without Robbin. :D:D
Bernard.

Bernard -- thanks for the compliment -- but I deserve no credit for your successful bidding -- you owe all to your luck and keen insight --

Very nice piece you picked up -- makes for an exceptional centerpiece.

back to Scoucers and their impeccable reputation:rolleyes:

My Sis texted me the other day it read, "its freezing over here, its that cold, I even saw a Scoucer with his hands in his own pockets" lol:D

That's a good one Bernard, LOL

A totally unsubstantiated reputation, I might add. I saw an advert from a scouse seller for a set of alloy wheels the other day. Transpired they were actually legally owned by the seller. Still attached to a nicked car mind, but it's a start. :)

lol, must be to hard to get them off the car now, so just sell the car as well lol, but we wont mention Robbin Hood, the all time master:p.
Nice one Simon.
Bernard.:D
