When we created our new Tiger tanks we knew that there would be demand for crew figures for the vehicle so we have created set NOR071 Waffen SS Tank Crew which fit the Tank perfectly for placement in the open Turret hatches. Please note that we have created far fewer of these sets than we have Tiger Tanks as we assume that collectors who have purchased multiple Tigers may only want a single set of crew figures, so supplies of these are somewhat limited because of this. Also, we have no tested these figures with any other tank other than the Tiger. These figures add yet another level of superb detail to what are truly outstanding tanks!

Ordered two sets for the Tigers, the colors and patterns look spot on as well as many of the details. Looking forward to having them in hand for closer inspection.

My only critique if I may and I know I'm picky is the detail on the insignia it looks weak. It could be the quality of the pictures but the eagles and skulls on the caps don't look so hot, especially on the m43 which looks more like a star instead of an eagle over a skull.

Also the two stripes at the cuffs and waist of the uniforms which I'm guessing are supposed to be seams don't look right. They look a bit too strong to my eye.

Even with my complaints and I know I'm picky with things I buy they are IMO the best looking Waffen SS Panzer crew I've ever seen in the Hobby period..... And I will be happy to add them to my collection, but there is always room for a little Improvement :wink2:

Hopefully we will get some soon, and a lot of people are pushing to get the older tank commanders re-issued..

Please buy these Waffen SS figures before they sellout, I don't think I can handle hearing about it for years if you don't.

Matt just said this in post 13 of the Kronprinz Panzer Commanders and First Legion Armor thread "we will not go back and reissue old ones" yet you still go on. PLEASE, PLEASE LET IT GO MAN.

You may wish to blacken the grills on the rear deck of #222; it looks factory new to my eye. FL did it on the later iteration and increased the weathering to tone down the colors. The FL tigers look very good overall and will be excellent with the new figures.

I agree they will sell out quickly. They look great. I only ordered 1 set. I might split them up between the 2 Summer Tigers. Really looking forward to these!

Everyone is welcome to do whatever they like to their collection and I've seen some very good results in the mod community, as well as some truly horrendous ones but for me I'm a stock man :wink2:.

I guess thats one of the reasons I'm so ****ed picky :wink2:

There is no doubt IMO these will be gone before the rest of the second Normandy Tigers are or the 2 Flickstarters. Your a smart man getting your order in early. I'm sure FL are already working on the next crew to come after these, and I'm looking forward to seeing what they will be. There certainly are a lot of possibilities......

I'm also really looking forward to having these in hand, and looking forward to seeing the next Tank. Matt said this the other day on a different forum

"Many other tanks are under development".

I know the pace is slow for strictly WWII collectors but when your into several other lines the pace is for me just fine. I was even caught off guard with the second Tigers release. regards Gebhard

Agree with you 100%. The one thing I have learned with FL is if you like it. Buy it is pretty quick. Especially the armor. It sells out quickly. (Surprised the 2nd summer Tiger is still available)

I think the second Tiger is a much better buy then the first but even so I'm glad I bought the first one. Not really sure of the price difference for me as I bought them both direct {sm2}. Maybe I will get a little refund or a store credit on the first one.. LOL...... yea right ^&grin

I don't know the numbers but I'd say the quick sellouts happen alot more in the WWII line then many of the others. There are still alot of really wonderful releases in other lines that have been available for like 10 years.

Many of the earlier FL WWII items were in that same category and were around for many many years but I think with other manufactures prices continuing to rise FL is no longer considered too expensive. In fact IMO they are a real bargain when you take in the quality to price ratios.

As long as there is a need foe a bino tank commander im NOT gonna let it go, MAN.

If Country Honor has seen this thread they may already be hard at work on tank commanders equivalent to the FL figures. Keep an eye on eBay. The Eagle Design Panzers need Panzer Kommanders too.

Well since Matt has already said NO several times maybe you can start a new campaign for a totally new tank commander holding binoculars.

Please tell me you've already placed your pre-order for the upcoming Waffen SS crew. If not I sincerely urge you to do so before you type another word to avoid much weeping and gnashing of teeth in the future.

Their figures are total **** :salute::. I can't believe anyone could possibly think they could make any figure that is the equivalent of First Legion.

Even when they completely ripped FL they still looked GOD awful, I'm highly offended as a First Legion collector of good taste for someone to even suggest such a farce. {sm4}

My personal thoughts on this are, the figures look really nice and they are probably the best detailed tanks figures around in the "smaller" 1/30 scale but I really have a hard time excepting the high price of these figures, especially when I can get some Kronprinz tank figures for a lower price. The FL figures are only half and 3 quarter size respectively and this is a high price to pay for figures that are not even complete. I’m guessing this may have to do with the limited production run of these figures but it’s still in my humble opinion a high price to pay. I will admit that the KP tank figures are not as detailed as the FL Tiger Tank figures but I'm still happy with the detail and quality of the KP figures as well as the price point.

Please note I do own a number of FL vehicles including the first Tiger Tank.
