I learned a lesson.

I was not paying attention and thought I was bidding dollars but it was pounds.

Lesson learned, do not bid after having a few drinks.:eek::mad:

Ouch!!!, that hurts {eek3}
Had the same thing happen to me at one time.
Those darn drinks can really throw you off.
Was so proud of what a great deal I got, until the real numbers hit me on my paypal account ^&grin
Oh well, file it under "learning by doing" :wink2:

Yeah especially when the rate of exchange was up around 1.80 or more :)

Recently I bought the same book twice! Annoyingly it turned out to be a VERY disappointing read. Lesson - keep track of purchases properly.

Another time I got a book through eBay, then found I could've got it $20 cheaper on Amazon. I'd looked there but not all books of the same title are listed together. Lesson - Amazon is evil.

I am constantly buying duplicate books. Sometimes I don't even realize it for months. I have even bought duplicate figures. Once I was sitting in a diner and this guy dressed all in black sat next to me and gave me a contract to sign. I hope it wasn't anything bad :)

"I hope it wasn't anything bad."

Do you find that animals bark and snarl at you as you go past now?
