Nov 30 2018 Display- Normandy Village, Summer 1944

A very recent new double base that just arrived in time for my November 30 show. The base by Jakob of Toy Soldiers of Scandinavia and it is simply amazing. The church alone is a work of art! Most of the figures and vehicles are from King & Country.
A Kubelwagen from Thomas Gunn Miniatures. The sand bags and barbed wire obstacles are from War Park.

I know that Normandy was too early for the 234/1 and 234/3 vehicles, but not having the 234/2 and loving these vehicles, I decided to use them in this set up.

The long base came in two pieces to make it easier to ship and it fits together cleverly with a piece of road that bridges both bases. Dealing with Jakob was a real pleasure as he makes the maximum effort to produce what I had envisioned.

First image shows where this large base fits in the lower level of my “Band of Brothers” tribute display.

A wonderful layout of diorama pieces. It is neat how Jakob allows his work to dove detail into each other extending the whole display. Your shelves look amazing. Robin.
