If I was to be fortunate enough in life to come out with a set of figures (8 poses) and 8 poses only,
you can bet I would put a lot of thought into my release to cover as much diversity within the set as possible.

I have always been puzzled about what and how poses within a set are chosen?

Do they just blindly leave that decision up to the sculpture??

The sculpting looks FANTASTIC, but I am a little disappointed about the lack of variety within the 8 poses?

I see 4 figures standing sharp-shooting?! Why??
Why not ONE guy throwing a grenade??
How about a prone figure firing a heavy MG??
Or a commander with a pistol and speakerphone??
Isn't a guy standing firing from waist a basic and needed standard pose?
Of the 8 poses 5 are sharpshooting???

I'm going to buy 2 bags of course, but come on guys, time is running out for plastic injection moulding!
Lets make every pose count!!!!!!!
This is NAM!!!!

The GIs and NVA look PHENOMENAL and even though it has not been an area/era of interest right now for me, they are tempting. But I have a clarification question. The kneeling firing NVA pose has the butt of the rifle in the elbow crook as opposed to the shoulder crook. Is this typical? I thought it should be in the shoulder crook.

I DO agree that these are some of the nicest, cleanest sculpts to come from TSSD in a while. I suppose the reason for choosing the poses is to show the US and NVA in mortal combat. You are also right that there should be a light machinegun in the mix.

Thank God there is not a bugler, then I would complain. Other wise I like them.

These are so good I'm hoping that there will be a second set soon. Along with some vC. You should post the pictures of the marines also.

Those do look quite excellent. I would like to see a second set with an officer, and grenade thrower.

Well, to be fair with 8 poses it's tough to get all the basic poses we'd like. I like what I see, but I agree on some of what you say. I see two standing firing poses, although one appears to be a rifle and the other an AK-47, so that's OK with me. I see the VC by Mars and luckily there is a grenade thrower in their 6 poses. Only question will be if they can mesh reasonably well with the TSSD guys. Bottom line on these NVA is they are all action poses and I would think if it takes off maybe Nick will do an add-on set like he did with the WW2 guys. 4 additional poses would be great and could include prone, officer and some support poses. Here's hoping. Thankfully Nick has done 2 opposing sides of this conflict, an amazing concept.
