I keep my toy soldiers in a barrister oak book case. Will this damage my figures?

Hi Brad,
I had heard that oak emits fumes that damage the paint on toy soldier. Hence, I posed this question to see if others had information on this subject.

Please see this article from Jim Hillestadt. Oak apparently affects older figures not newer ones.
