Not a big fan of Tom Criuse, but he does a good job in this sci fi, effects good, ok story line, 2 hour film not drawn out, some thought provoking aspects, well worth seeing. The trailer for Iron man & Star Trek films look interesting also. Robin.

Funny that I have heard people say they don't like Cruise for a number of reasons as a celebrity but they like his work as an actor. I enjoy his acting and I'm glad he doesn't live next door.

I think the latest movies he did were more balanced in terms of leading characters. That is they were not centered only on him but these had also strong supporting roles which made these movies more interesting and entertaining IMHO. E.g. the last Mission Impossible falls in that category and I really enjoyed it even if I am not a fan of TC...

Just saw this today and was very impressed with it. The story line is fine but what sells the show are the vast vistas of ravaged landscape, skyscapes, and the special effects in regards to the transport craft and drones. A very good sci-fi movie of the post-apocalyptic genre. -- Al

Saw that one too and really enjoyed it for the same reasons. I would place Elysium in the same category.
