Odd Conte Alamo figure (1 Viewer)

Hello,
a Russian friend of mine found this strange Alamo figure in an old Conte Alamo bag...^&confuse
Under the base: "Conte Collectibles. Figure 403"
It's not from the 4 Conte Alamo sets...
Any idea?

This figure was in the early (1st year) set 1 I believe. It is the John Wayne Alamo pose. He was removed after a short time. Character-like figure and if there was a copyright there is a time limit for release? He is a great pose but I always felt like the end of the rifle was short molded? There is a similar pose released with the alamo sets that was a monochrome metal pose.

I got him in one of the Alamo playsets and his rifle was even shorter!

Currently available from the manufacturer on Ebay for around $8 or so. Fun figure.

That's a really nice figure. A shame the end of the musket looks like it was melted down or something.
