What do you want most before its retired?.

For me there are four must haves;

1.Grey Kubelwagon
2.US Bulge Howitzer
3.German winter tank riders
4.AK Field gun.

Following the latest dispatches we can expect more retirements next year, time to make those difficult decisions guys!.

If you're talking about the pack howitzer, that's been retired for some time.

Brad,we've discussed about how very naughty it is to attempt to give other forum members heart attacks by winding them up havn't we!.If this forum had a naughty corner you'd be stood in it right now!!;):D

Oops, my mistake. I thought it had been retired for awhile but according to Bill Sager's site, it has not. Guess I must have been thinking of something else.

At any rate, it's a very nice set. Of the four on your list, I'd rate it second after the AK Field Gun.

Nice pieces you might want to pick up are the dd ambulance jeep, the bulge m10 and ws 087 the classic grey side car are all nice

Well there is alot I still wanna get before its retired. Most would be the rest of the Bulge American sets.

Brad,
I have a feeling that AK26 and AK27 might be on their way out either next month or the month after since Andy usually releases the AK line in the early part of the year and with the cutbacks on the cheaper sets these might be a casualty.

I have the DD Jeep Ambulance and the M10,they are indeed both very nice models. One thing i don't have yet is a m/bike and sidecar.

You can't go wrong with the AK Field gun. For your 150 USD you get 5 great figures and a field gun thrown in :D The figures are nicely done imo and with artillery in such short supply the field gun is a must have:)

Bill,

I think you're right about that, particularly the Field Gun. I say that doing very well in the secondary market when it retires.

I've unlocked a special budget in my expenses... to buy all the older sets I can... then planning to take a break from collecting for the next 6 months or so... that's easy.. whatever figure cost 25$ or less.. I buy in the ranges I collect.

Cheers,

Alex

This sounds like an innovative plan, Alex. What ranges do you typically collect and how many figures do you reckon will fall into this category at this point?

You are going to have fun with this I should think......that long list will simply disappear in a stroke. :)

Just bought M10 tank destroyer, 2 DDay beach sets, all 1st release of french Nap infantry, 4 chasseurs a cheval, churchill, AK27, DDay with 3 guys showing a NAZI flag, old 101 Airborn guys with the Mohawk haircut one ... and the list goes on an on... 1200$ in the last 2 weeks.. :)

I Collect Naps, WWII (Bulge, DDay, Desert, Normandy, Russian troops) and that's it !

Green with envy Alex. That is my budget for 6-7 months. -- lancer

Yes, that would more than cover everything on my fairly modest list at the moment too. That is a great sounding bunch of purchases too BTW.
