Off With Her Head? (1 Viewer)

I pose this simple question, does HHR Queen Shannon need a “spin doctor?” or, can the lady keep her head after she tells the peasants to eat cake

Are we about to see a new version of Hamlet in Denmark (Minnesota) now that Treefrog Treasures is now in multimedia international mass marketing, what with the new television commercial for the History Channel group and all? Why one would think that HHR Queen Shannon’s head must be swollen with self-pride and self-admiration (she did announce it in the weekly newsletter with some fanfare after all) ;)

Or, does the real power behind the throne lie with the Royal Chancellor , Prince Peter, and he the one who has usurped the throne for personal reasons and HHR is just a royal stooge? Shall we read in some future Shakespearian sonnet about the Prince of Minnesota staging a coupe to become as famous as, oh I don’t know say his hero Paris Hilton, a “media queen”? :D

Or, are we witnessing the deterioration of Toysoldierania due to to the too big for pants syndrome? Only time will tell. Only time will tell.

Hay Andy, they beat ya to the punch. Treefrog is doing a television commercial before you on the History Channel. Oh, wait just one minute, back to Shakespeare, is Andy the motivator behind the throne. Does the Royal Toy Maker have plans of his own and is he using HHR and the Prince in some Cesare Borgia style world domination?

See, Shannon really does need a spin doctor.

Congratulations on the move into mass marketing, I truly hope it benefits your bottom line cause it should help the entire industry.

I thought this was going to be a Paris Hilton thread.

Must be something in the water up in some parts of Minnesota

The Strictly Limited pieces will now become Extremely Strictly Limited pieces.

It's the very long and cold winters, followed by the glory of spring. Sometimes it (the dramatic change in tempture and actually seeing and feeling the sun) just becomes too much to handle and we wax poetic into fits, some say dilusions. The waters fine, come on in.:p

Has anybody seen the commercial? Is there a link thats lets you view it on line? Will it only be on locally in Minnisota, or can I see it in New York? This is very exciting news.

According to what Shannon wrote in the newsletter, the commercial has been shot, is in edit and will air in a couple of weeks after they (Shannon and Pete see the final result). She said to keep an eye on the History Channel. I think I remember that she would give us a head's up.

Um...wow.
This wasn't exactly how I had planned to make the general announcement about this, but okay, we can go with it.:p
First of all,
No Paris Hilton...no special Midwestern water...no cake. Definitely a bit premature for pride or self-admiration--we haven't even seen the final product yet!
Yes, we did shoot a Treefrog commercial this week and yes it will air on the History Channel but in our local market. This means the Rochester, MN area. If it gets the results we are looking for we may add other market areas but for now it is a local experiment. With the thousands and thousands of people who come to Rochester each year to visit Mayo Clinic we think this could be a great opportunity to reach a whole new market of collectors who don't even know they want to be collectors yet!

There is a possibility that we may have a link to the commercial on our website in the future. In the meantime we're still waiting to see it too! So far we've helped choose the music and voice talent, set up the dioramas, watched the crew shoot a lot of raw footage (which was a blast!) and are now waiting for the first cut to come back for review.
The producer hadn't come in contact with toy soldier collecting before working on our project but was immediately drawn to the dioramas. He collects comic books so he understands the collecting concept. I think he was having even more fun than we were :D.
We'll keep you posted:cool:!

Ok, everybody can breath now, we can keep our heads ;)

And who said I don't have a vivid imagination; actually now that I think of it maybe that term should not be used to describe what goes on in my mind, let's just say I'm creative.
