It's an oldie but a goodie; hats off to K&C for keeping things fun with this little vehicle and figure as he does his business:

Oh, Crap! by Western Outlaw, on Flickr

The Summer Schwimmwagen (WS109) was released in 2008. A number of you may own it, but I missed out on many of these older pieces that every now and then, I go out and hunt for. I purchased this for the vehicle but it turns out the figure makes the set for obvious reasons.

More than a s....... figure, KC would have better done one shaving or sleeping, or reading , or cleaning a rifle, boots.....

I like him Poppo; how many companies out there make s-figures?

I also like the "urinator" on Hitler's picture but it's a Brit and I don't own any other Brits in Europe to go with it; had to pass on that one.

Most creative though and I appreciate the diversity!

BTW - why are the pants on your s-figure black?

Rob,

If you can still find the Brit peeing on the Adolf photo I give this figure set a 2 thumbs up.
One of my favorite K&C figures out of the whole lot !

There is a good point here, but rather than make something else instead, the question is: why not more? Why not the shaving soldier? And why not the sleeping soldiers? There is a smattering of these representations across manufacturers but way less than sufficient to address the multitude of iconic photographs from the World Wars. Wouldn't the WWI trench scene with sleeping soldiers cramped into uncomfortable looking nooks be great to do? And how difficult could the paint job be? Might get my friendly sculptor onto this. Anyone care for a few?

My vote is for a "group scene:"

Just imagine the war-winning strategy tips that would have been conjured up in such a setting?

Well, I painted the black pants of a tanker.

I mentioned that in my reply to the 2018 Wish List thread... "out of action" sculpts can be so great, and create fantastic scenes. I agree, more sculpts of cooks, mechanics/fitters...tactical operations centers (radios and map tables)...regular joes dubbing or shining boots and cleaning weapons.

For example... I'm a Paratrooper by profession. The book says that as soon as I've hit the ground and gotten out of the parachute harness, we're supposed to put out weapons into action. As most guys who do what I do, and they'll tell you that the first thing that they do is take a leak...
