:) The Italians along with the DAK, on RECON Patrol, with their M-13/40 Tanks, and AB-41-Armored car? Imagine Tony Soprano in the Desert, he probably would Say, his Famous Words to Mussolini"; "HEY YOU TALKIN TO ME" HUH" , and Send Pauly and Louie-the -Lip, to "Whack the Camels"! And they would probably cook the Camels , and put them on the Bar-Bi, and drink their Wine and and eat their Provolone Cheese!

John,

Have you been nipping at the cooking sherry again?:D

I presently have 3 sets of 8th Army. Have been resisting the temptation to go for more N.Africa sets cos I've been concentrating on B of the B, and FoB in WW2. After the release of these new SAS/LRDG sets, I'm a broken man. There is no way on earth that I can stop myself getting these. Additions to the Wife's SoOHK collection will have to go on hold - indefinitely.
I thought K&C had reached a peak with the Crusader range - Wrong Mr Heid...!!!
Oh, and the new Crusaders look the BIZ as well. :)

John or others, question for you all on the new Stug III for AK. I'm getting it no matter what, but was just curious how much service it saw in North Africa? Thanks.

According to Achtung Panzer, three Ausf Ds saw service in North Africa. This is not to say that A, B (the K & C version) and C didn't. I just couldn't find the info.

Now the Stug is on its way my beleagured EA's position has just got worse.Someone send me a desert Sherman!

Rob

Good for John....!!!!
His clear enthusiasm, and refusal to allow gentle constant critisism to wind him up is a lesson to us all. Please carry on demanding John. :) It always generates a smile, and sometimes provides food for thought.
