the DD42 MP is the exact same figure sculpt as the DD32 mortar sargent? I only noticed because I like that particular pose.

Any other same sculpt figures with different variations out there?

I'm not criticizing - just noticing something.

One other thing about the Sgt. & MP pose is that 1 figure is a bit smaller than the other, at least mine are.

Over the years quite a few poses have re-appeared, and almost interchangably right through DD, IWJ, VN and YA. My favourite pair of cousins are the soldier reloading, which appears in the AK23 (SdKfz 222) set and in the WS38 (MG34) set. In some cases there'd appear to be nothing more than a different head whilst in others the entire dimensions have changed (WS36 and WS49).

I noted literally dozens of these "related" figures in chapters 2 and 3 of the book. This repaint or minimal resculpt theme is sometimes one of many examples (particularly pre-2001) of Andy trying to maximize sales off of each example of his sculpting, while at other times (most often post-2001) it reflects his desire to revisit a theme with improved painting and sculpting.
