So I recently picked up a Cache of old catalogs and brochures, the box was over 12 lbs.! basically across the board in toy soldiers and retailers. Among these were some early King and Country flyers brochures and pamplets, while I don't collect K&C anymore, i did for many years and consider myself Very well versed on all things K&C going back to the earliest years.
It was a pleasant surprise to see some early figures I'd never seen before and pics of sets Id never seen. here are some.
Ray

This advertisement shows glossy polish lancers that I heard of but never seen and the Polish buglar in reverse color that I didn't know existed

Here shows 3 flagpoles and the last flyer makes 4

The La Miserables set

the Search for the Long knives is a set I've never seen available

groupings of early glossy Revolutuion and Nap sets

Do you mean the Dutch Lancers. I have a full set of those and posted a photo on my K & C Glossy Napoleonics thread in the Collections section.

I've managed to pick up almost all of the old brochures. Just missing a couple.

Yes there are more, I'll scan them and post them here. plus I got alot of price lists going back to 92', along with the K&C ads I got a ton of other manufacturers, most in color, REon Wall, aylmer color catalogs from the 80's, some imperial, Ducal and more catalogs from retailers than I have had a chance to look at.
I'll start with a group of postcards and flyers from Kings X in San Antonio before there acquisition by King and Country, they carried an exclusive line of Teddy and the Rough Riders

Here's some of the backsides of flyers already posted

Nov. 93'

Those Kings X brochures are rather nice, a mixture of manufacturers.

Look forward to sending the remainder.

with all the talk on other threads about aircraft, here's a 94' flyer featuring the "Stingbag"

Here is K&C's version of the Hellcat from a brochure in 95'

while this one might be more common, the TET 68 offensive pic is a very well done scenario, I'd say a precursor to the fabulous diorama work coming from K&C these days.
Also shows a nice swath of the Arnhem range and Streets of old Hong Kong

Sorry guys, I hate photobucket!, all I did was re-oreint the pics so they were horizontal and it changes the address

I love seeing those!

I am dying to get my hands on those K&C golfers - the search hasn't been very fruitful.
(if anyone sees any, i will pay...dearly...for them {sm4} )

Here are some older brochures, the size changes to the larger A4 format, i always think of it as a European standard size
Don't have a date on this one think it's early 90's

this next one is dated 4/92

this next is the nicest of the earlies imho, not dated but am pretty sure early 90's as well

This last one is definately the earliest and most intriguing, dated 1985 and talks about K&C's rise to the top in less than 2 years, the line is being sold through Gennart Ltd. They also talk about K&C opening a shop in Aug. '85 at Wyndham st. which i believe is Andy's 1st retail store? I also have correspondence from Gennart ltd about product and signed by Anne Burn, the name sounds familiar?

It started with the Arnhem range in 1994. That was the range that really got K & C going. They were still making glossy after that but the emphasis changed to matte.

I would assume K&C still has the moulds for the old glossy figures. It'd be nice if they would produce some of them again like Britains does with their Archive series.

No, they probably don't. Someone asked this question about the older Dickens building from the late 90s and Andy said it was long gone.

I love this thread & thanks for taking the time to share...I would be interested in purchasing a group of brochures (not duplicates)
