A post on another thread reminded of getting these for Christmas, many years ago.

Those are Swoppets? I have these knights where you can change the heads, arms and torsos. I thought those were Swoppets. They kind of looked like puppets, not very nice and didn't like them. Yours look good.

My brother got knights and I got the ACW swoppets as kids. I still have my ACW figures and I think my brother still has a few of the knights. They are great TS. The thing is, and I don't know about the knights, but my ACW figures have become extremely delicate and will break very easily. The plastic has become brittle to the extreme. -- Al

Sorry to hear about your Civil War figures becoming "brittle", I have heard about this occurring, however these knights have remained flexible. IMHO, these swoppets were some of the best for their day. Even now I really believe the horses were some of the best models of their time.

How awesome !!! Britians really did have some great toys over the years. I think these are just as popular now as they were then.

Thank you.

These are the earlier Britain's "Swoppets", this link shows the figures: http://swoppets.net/
A few of the figures in the photos are not Swoppets, but came out soon after, I believe.

Later (in the 70s), Britain's came out with their "Deetail" series: http://www.britains-toy-soldier.co.uk/medievel.html
The "Third Series" of Deetail had removable body parts and were called "Deetail Swoppets", perhaps that is what you are referring to ?
