If you haven't seen them yet, we now have the two ONTC WWI tank sets available for pre-order.

Hey

These guys look really cool -

And I am a comitted King and Country Guy......:)

As posted on another thread, the Renault is to be out in May.

What are the release plans for the other two tanks previously announced? I've reposted the photo since they were deleted during the server switch.

Ron,

Also being a K&C collector I agree that these (I assume you mean the Tanks) are very nice indeed, shame they won't fit with the new range from Andy, or will they?

Jeff

The size these tanks must be who'll know, unless you take out a ruler and calculator. I know I'll buy one to go behind the Kaiser and Hindenberg.

Just a word to say that we www.tmterrain.com will be stocking these figures and models in the future for all you UK collectors and will have the new tanks at the London Toy Soldier Show on Saturday June 30th.

I saw the Renault yesterday at Valley Forge and it's very nice. I intend to buy it, probably the American version.

I also saw the prototype of the Mark IV. It is big and it looks fabulous. The protoype must have weighed 10 pounds at least. However, the actual model will be much lighter according to the folks at Michigan Toy Soldier. Unfortunately, there is no date fixed for its release as they need to get it lighter. But it is fantastic looking.

It will be a definite buy.

That stuff looks fantastic- hopefully they will scale the Mother back if it is really that huge.

I don't if that prototype was just heavy or also big and heavy.

These tanks were in real life , monstrous, and if the new K/C WW1 figures are true 1/30 ,bigger is better. But as J. Gamble and others, including myself have stated, there are problems in 1/30 land. Most of the K/C figures coming out in WW2 are not 1/30 scale anyway and the size difference has become more noticible, with each new release....This creates scale havoc between displaying of different K/C eras and themes. Most, who collect K/C will not care, but those who prefer their scales to be consistent, are going to have to swallow hard and make hard choices. This is not even about original mold shrinkage as brand new releases are being scale dummied down. I am mostly 1/32 anyway and a vehicle only colllector so folks like me are able to live with it...The rest of you, beware that 1/30 is not the K/C scale any longer. Attached is a repainted Britains 1/32 scale WW1 Mark Tank. In front are left to right 2 new 1/32 K/C ,1 older 1/30 K/C, 1 1/30 NMA ,and 1 1/30 HB figures for size comparison......So remember ONWTC, bigger is better.......Michael

Michael,

You saw the tank. Did you think it was bigger than the one in your photo? It looked monstruous to me. I probably should have put a K & C figure there just to see. Regardless of what scale it is, it's a great looking tank, a must buy.

You are right, we are dumb...100's of K/C figures there, and we could easily have placed them in front for size.........my Britain tank is 9 3/4" long and 4 3/4" wide and it looks fine, with the newer K/C in front ,though if you check out the attached real photo, the K/C figure stands a little tall. A standard Britains figure looks best. The ONWTC tank may be bigger than the Britains and that makes it a must have ,for any WW1 collector, K/C included.........There were different variants for this type tank and thus slight size differences.......Michael

My concern was more the weight than the actual dimensions. I really like them- the Mother male and the German one. I will have to get them. Those will be my first purchases from that line- ONWTC- I have bought other stuff from Rick and those guys before, just not their own line.

When I spoke to them, they were working on hollowing it out, but maintaining the bottom plate..........Michael
