LION Route – September 17, 1944 after 1445. Lt Col Frost’s 2 PARA marches single file down both sides of the road thru Benedendorpsweg, Oosterbeek before large crowds of civilian would appear to celebrate their liberation. The scouts ahead of the leading columns are cautiously checking around street corners for the enemy. The LION Route is the southernmost route that borders the Rhine River into Arnhem. Unlike the LEOPARD and TIGER routes, the Germans were not able to stretch their defenses to completely block Frost’s advance toward the Arnhem Bridge at this stage. Even then, 2 PARA would not make it to Arnhem Bridge in its entirety due to enemy actions. --Alex

Inspirational layout for me and no doubt Andy. MG series is still one of the best going and Andy will be revisiting with some new releases in the foreseeable future. Appreciate the story line you used to give another dimension to the scene. :salute::, Robin.

Great looking dioramic scene.
Like what you've done with the WB Waterloo North Gate and the Lemax accessories.
Which to me, along with the photo background gives it a Netherland / Low Countries flavour and really sets the scene for the K&C Paras.

Well done ! :wink2::salute::

Great job ! MG is one of my favorite KC series.

Well done Mate.

I live 65 Miles from Arnhem And I have been there a few times. The diorama really has the impression of Oosterbeek. Top done 😁👍

Thank you for the compliment, Harrie. It's always good to hear from someone who has been to the area. I was hoping the dioramas would add some sense of realism to the different locations in Operation Market-Garden. Finding the right backdrop is always a challenge but I've been lucky so far. --Alex
