In remembrance of Operation Market Garden and it’s 74th anniversary tomorrow:

Landing Zone Z – September 17, 1944 at the end of H-hour. The British 1st Airborne Division designated the hamlet of Wolfheze as Landing Zone “Z”, the destination of its first glider lift for Arnhem. The first lift consists of men and equipment of Div HQ, the 1st Parachute Brigade, and other supporting elements. Here off-loaded troopers are making their way to their respective rendezvous points while others are tending to a recently landed Container Light Equipment (CLE) Mk III nearby. In the background, parachutists of the 1st Parachute Brigade that strayed from Drop Zone “X” are landing amongst the gliders as their C-47 transports are heading for home…

At another corner of Landing Zone Z, a Universal Carrier drives from its Hamilcar glider near Major General Roy Urquhart and his Division HQ staff as they watch the parachute landing. Noting only a few glider mishaps and a textbook airdrop, Gen Urquhart was satisfied with the landing thus far -- it was the last good feeling he had for the remainder of the Arnhem operation.

This remains one of my core series. Splendid to see it displayed so well. Better post some more on my thread this week to acknowledge the 74th anniversary. Those backdrops are so appropriate. Robin.

Congratulations sir! I really like your 'landing' photos, particularly numbers 1 and 3... You really captured the moment and the character of the figures.

Although there have been no recent releases of 'Arnhem' figures I am looking forward to returning to 'Operation MarketGarden' in 2019...You guys really inspire me!

Many thanks and best wishes as I head off to Chicago in a few hours time,
Andy.

Hoping all was fine with you Andy, given the pounding to your city. Enjoy your show and go MG for next year. Robin.

Thank you, Robin. Market Garden is definitely one of the great series out there.
