I just arrived back home this morning after 4 magical days in Chicago! This was my first show, and I must say that I hope it will be the first of others to come. As a collector who lives far from the US/Europe/Asia & Oceania TS world, I just can’t express how thrilled I am with the opportunity to witness the ultimate event of our hobby. Before arriving, I was excited imagining the abundance of toy soldiers I would see, with all the products I would find there, the new releases, the hard to find retired…

Frankly, that’s nothing compared to what really fascinated me: the people! What a unique bunch of great people I was privileged to interact with! How nice it was to discover the face behind those avatars and to be surprised to find a fantastic individual, sharing ideas and views in conversations that only started with TS, but evolved to all kinds of different subjects! I want to thank all those whom I met for the special moments I lived while in the Show.

For other collectors like me who live in distant places of this fabulous planet I have only one word: at least once take the trip, and see how wonderful it feels to be amongst so many who share the same passion! The show and people are unique and real, but the feelings and memories it generates are universal and surreal…!

A big thank you for all those I had the pleasure to meet!

I couldn’t be happier….

Glad you had a nice time Carlos. Even though my distance to the TS world in Oz is not as great as you're distance to the TS world, I also live a fair distance from my nearest TS shop and mates in the TS world. I treasure the time when I visit them and I hope to one day experience the magic of Chicago and also the Texas TS show someday.

A miserable drive there, a miserable drive home, ate too much, drank too much, slept too little, wish I would've sold more and bought less. CAN'T WAIT TILL I DO IT ALL AGAIN NEXT YEAR!!! Favorite things about 2014: K&C's upcoming Kelly's Heroes figures and those two really cute girls working for Crown Toy Soldiers.
