With 'roving reporters' already on the scene - let's hear the latest buzz - and see some images!

Treefrog will be leaving very soon (the trailer is loaded and ready) and arriving in the early afternoon - we'll do our best to add to the reports!

We'll the parking lot is filling up with cars and u-haul trailers. I keep seeing people walk in with piles of boxes. Everytime I see someone I wonder if that person is from the forum. I met Carlos yesterday and saw George's setup which is pretty cool. I think the fun really starts today.

I think I had mentioned this once but I think that's the first polystone WW I tank. It looks fabulous. Probably pick it up at Hackensack.

Some pics of the Honour Bound Field Kitchen would be great if anyone finds it.

Treefrog is supposed to be getting it but they're probably still setting up. I asked Shannon to post pictures of it as soon as it's available.

How was the ACW cornfield compared to the new Britains?

Also what company makes the elephant.

Thanks,
Old Guard

The Cornfield is also sculpted by Ken Olsen, so the figures are very compatible. The elephant is made by Germania Figuren and is carried by Michigan Toy Soldier.:)

Forum Members,
Notice the small diorama bases that ONWTC's WWI sets are on? Rick wants to know if collectors will buy sets with these bases if the bases added $5 to $10 to price of set (about $90)?

Hi Steven-

Sure that you have fun.

Tell Rick that I will buy all their WWI sets with the bases. Looking for something like that since a long time.

Pierre.

Sure, it has many other uses. $5 to $10 is not prohibitive.

The Chicago show is concentrated on the 4th and 5th floors of the Hyatt. On each floor, collector are greeted by bulletin boards filled with the room numbers of various dealers. Pictured are 2 of the 3 boards, with many dealers still setting up. I'll take a picture tomorrow so you can see the difference as dealers cover earlier postings.:)

Steven-

Thanks for taking the time to post photos like that. Great coverage!

Pierre.
