Hi guys,
Nothing beats a relaxing weekend with some free time to admire K&C's most recent WWII Pacific release, The U.S.M.C. Pacific Sherman (USMC053), priced at $299 (USD). I've been waiting for this "Bad Boy" to be released since reading about it last year and it was certainly worth the wait. Today, I will be sharing with you, The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly in a critical photo review of K&C's USMC Pacific Sherman.
The Good
Upon removing the Pacific Sherman from its shipping box (purchased from Treefrog Treasures I might add), I was taken back by K&C's new boxart of the tank. Compared to other tank boxes, the box is thick, has a matte finish, and colorful with a number of pictures of the Pacific Sherman with USMC figures and a few dead Japanese.
Check out this boxart:
Lifting up the box cover; to my complete surprise, rather than messy Styrofoam packaging, the Pacific Sherman was encased in semi-hard black foam free of any debris. Now this is the way to package toy soldier/vehicle collectibles. A+ for this new packaging!
I enjoyed lifting the tank out of the box and seeing the tri-color Pacific color scheme. Tight and solid with clean lines, the main body is most impressive:
Nicely painted tools are included on the rear and side rear of the body:
The front has a small machine gun with not too much added detailing:
Review continued in Part 2...
