Painted Alamo figures... (1 Viewer)

Very nice work. You made them look very interesting and individual.

Thank you Gary. With 180 plus or minus defenders, all individuals, there's room for variety. I have a few more in the works and then some TSSD and Conte Mexicans.

I agree with Gary, you did a great job on these Scott. Each guy is unique....I would say you Alamo fans out there have quite the variety of figures now to really make an impressive set!

Great painting Scott but I think you should have picked figures without back packs or cut them off. Although given the chance I would have packed my bags and got the hell out of there also!!!
I think I would have traded the Purple heart metal for a Yellow chicken metal and lived given the chance, he who fights and runs away..........:rolleyes2::tongue:

Thank you, I was going with sturdy figures and the Confederates fit the bill on that but it was unlikely that Alamo defenders were ready for a route march with a full kit. I have one more Conte figure in the works of a New Orleans Gray with sculpted with a back pack. Maybe another use at San Jacinto.

Excellent job on these Scott, your conversions are superb, I have tried a few simple conversions myself, but not really that successfully.

Keep trying. I have drawer for my failures.

The Conte New Orlean's Gray. The uniform is meant to look grungy as the Grays had been in San Antonio since late 1835.
