We have a second version of the type 166 Schwimmwagen coming in soon. This version is marked for the Panzer Lehr Division and comes with two figures wearing the Zeltbahn over their wool uniforms.
This simple scene was set up using a grassy base, small factory ruin, New Flak 88mm gun , ruined East German town backdrop and a Hudson & Allen wall customized with H&A WWII German posters.

Figures look very nice. Please make some more relaxed non-combat Heer Germans like this to go with the set.

Also, please make some Heer Germans with Zehltbahns like this as tank riders. I know you have not released any German tanks recently, but your figures go great with all the existing First Legion, War Park, and John Jenkins tanks.

We need mid-war summer German Heer and Waffen SS tank riders.

I’ve got to agree with you there, Hunter Rose! While Britains did make a couple Heer figures recently that were kneeling without a base (including one in a smock/zeltbahn) they were kneeling/firing and not sitting like tank riders… Still great figures, though!

If it’s Lehr, why no big white L or L on black shield?

As I have platoon lehr PG in 54mm figures.

The divisional insignia is on the right rear of the vehicle so you do not see it in that photo.

The Heer Schwimmwagen will be shipping in November. The set includes the driver and the Grenadier standing wiping his brow. There will also be additional figures dressed in a similar manner released before the end of the year.
