Great dio, even with only one figure {bravo}}{bravo}}{bravo}}{bravo}} And very accurate and detailed as usual.

I wonder why someone with your high skills doesn't prefer to be a modeller and also assemble and paint the figures and vehicles instead of buying them already made...Why? I m really curious...

Assembling and painting figures and vehicles that is something I have done for almost all my life .Together with a friend we started a modeling club back in 1970.( It still exists "Hobby Time Brugge") There were no TS around in those days only a few plastic kits from Tamiya, Monogram, Revell and Italirei. So we had to make everything ourselves if we wanted to put our plastic figures in a diorama ;That's were I've got all my skills which I use today for making dios with TS. Later I switchedover to metal of which I have over 600 hand painted figures in my collection. Only a few years ago I discovered TS. I saw the possibilities of doing something with TS that most of the collectors don't do; bring them to life in a dio. I still repaint my figures and most of the vehicles I use in my dios are repainted or at least wheathered. There has been an article about my collecting carreer and explaining all that in the K&C collectors magazine N°25. I add a few pictures of very early dios and metal soldiers in my collection

Thank you for telling us your modeller story, I think many collectors are interested in knowing this; now I understand. And now, you make a mix of modeller-dio maker- collector, and the result is top quality figures and dios.

Thanks Poppo
Your definition of "modeller-dio maker-collector" sums it up perfectly

His mate has joined him in the street. He is wearing the 1943 parka issued to the FJs fighting in the Soviet Union. He has also been repainted and fur was added in the cap of the parka he is wearing. German 3+4 to follow and also a water well + tree + plenty more detail

You certainly put some effort into this Guy, but again the results are worth it. Robin.
