Hey fellas:

Stopped off in a toystore over the weekend and discovered Papo toys from France (Actually already knew of them- just got reacquainted with them). Very interesting stuff- not sure if anyone collects dinosaurs but the plastics they have of Dinosaurs are off the charts. The realism is second to none.

These figures are very similar to Schleich in size and composition. Very impressed to see they do historical figures as well- some of the periods they cover are Rome, Vikings, Naps and Samurai. Here is a link to their site:

I carry them with great success on my website.

Yeah, the dinos are crazy! I have a fresh shipment coming in next week.

Strangely, this year, there is far less emphasis on medieval and Romans which I find really disappointing.

The Romans are about the best bang for the buck given that BBI is a bit more expensive.

I get the Princess and "Girly" figures for my daughter. I wish they wouldn't make all the infantry figures with spread legs to ride horses. The figures otherwise are very well made and painted. They can be played with and look good on shelf too.

I have most of their awesome dinosaurs: T-Rex, raptor, Stegosaurus, Pachycepholosaurus, and the new Spinosaurus. They're my favorite dinosaurs by far, even better than the Carnegie series by Safari. Only downside is they're expensive, at least by plastic dinosaur standards. I also have a couple of the Papo mounted knights - the guy with the deer antlers is particularly impressive and you can't go wrong with the price on those.

Theres a new dino coming in very shortly. Don't discount the safari carnegie guys yet. They just released a giganto which is awesome.
