Papo makes pretty awesome 3 + inch figures which they've now started to make in a smaller scale. They are not 1/32nd - they are just under 2 inches tall but they are quite nice. There is also a castle setup made to go with the series. They have a similar series for their horses and a barn + stable setup.

Here they are:

Knight Set Blue

Knight Set Red

Mini Castle

Mini Barn

Don't know if any of you might find these interesting but good to know whos making what.

Happy Holidays!

Gideon.

I saw those in the store the other day. I have a couple of their larger knights plus their deluxe samurai - they're pretty sweet looking for the price.

Shucks. You can never find the scale police when you need one. I picked up quite a few of the larger Papo & Schleich knights, for my son. But was disappointed that this trend was too large for my age-old 54mm knights. But now they seem to have undershot it. These sound like 40mm. Perhaps these Continental companys have chosen the Elastolin scale model.

I will have some of the tube sets in 2008 and I sell the Safari LTD Toobs as well.

Yes, the smaller scale has gone 40mm - Elastolin/Mertens.

It is frustrating that these great figures are not made in 1/32. As far as kids toys go, 1/32 is dying fast.

I'll be getting civil war figures in this scale too.

I think the reasoning behind the scale is more along the lines of kids projects rather than a series of figure to collect.

Army building basically without having to spend loads of money. Are the civil war figures from plastoy as well?

I'm not sure of that. Safari LTD in the USA seems married to Plastoy so I'm not sure who in reality produces what.
