Yes, mon Empereur wrote a novel! But can you name it.....?

Well, his political tract was "Le souper de Beaucaire," but his lesser-known work was "Clisson et Eugenie."

Spot on! "Clisson et Eugenie" was the one! Do you know where I can find a copy in French?

Certainement!^&grin^&grin See appendix B in Vincent Cronin's "Napoleon Bonaparte: An Intimate Biography." It contains the mid-section only, keeping N's mis-spellings. According to Cronin, the manuscript was dispersed after the death of Cardinal Fesch and, apparently, never re-united.

I actually know of an English version. Apparently, they have succeeded in finding all the pieces of the book, and united them, but possibley only in English{sm0}{eek3}

Cronin's appendix is entirely in French. It would be interesting to see if there is a complete work available. The first & last parts ended up in Warsaw. English is fine, but there's nothing like the original, as things often get lost in the translation, as you know.

I think Boney should have written a Novel called:

"Moscow - or Bust!" ^&grin johnnybach

If it had been conceived of then he would certainly have gone in for "I'm a celebrity, get me out of here" while on St. Helena. Trooper

Ha! - nice one trooper.

How about if he had been on " Mastermind"?
