There have been several excellent comments and pictures posted about Patriout vs. K&C Napoleonic soldiers. I know that Patriot is a bigger scale then King and Country. I am going to buy some Patriot soldiers. Before I do I have a question of how well Patriot can blend into a K&C diorama. Sometime differences in scale are small enough that you can put soldiers to the front or back and everything looks great. Other times you need to display them separately from each other. I would appreciate your input.

Thanks,

I have purchased about 25 of the Patriot young guard series and I have hundreds of K&C and Del Prado Napoleonics. I use them together for wargames. In my opinion the Patriot figures are not a different scale than K&C, just a little bigger and made by a different designer. Note that the K&C shakos are actually a little bigger than the Patriot ones. Anyway my fellow gamers and I are in agreement that they go together fine, particularly when you group the Patriot figures in separate units. The animation of the Patriot figures is superb and when you group them together the effect is very impressive. Plus they are filling in gaps in the Napoleonic line, e.g. young and old guard figures in combat poses.

What rule set do you use in gaming with 54mm Napoleonics; there was a pretty decend 54mm Napoleonics game at Cold Wars this past weekend with a couple of hundred figures on the table.............

Howelltrh,
Glad that you like them and thanks for your support.
I can't imagine how big your battlefield is.

Robert

howelltrh thanks for the information. You have answered my questions. I know that Patrior is bigger then K&C but I thought they might work together in seperate units. So I am going to get me some Young Guard.

Now the real questions how in the world can you afford hundresds of K&C and Del Prado? Man I need to change careers and make some more money.

On a serious note I would love to see a picture of your battlefield some day. You should post it on the forum.

Thanks,
Old Guard

I,d also love to see photos of a nice big napoleonic set up like that and if you need any help in posting the photos let me know I,ll help you out with posting them or post them for you.

I too would be interested ina rule set for 54mm Napoleonics .Perhaps yours are homegrown. My 2 young friends and I tried a 54mm 1812 wargame last weekend with tweaked FIRE AND STEEL rules for 15mm. We fudged ALOT.Main problem was frontage, Cavalry units with 8 figures representing 8 companies.Dindt really work but for as seldom as we game it was okay.I got thumped, bad.French repulsed everywhere.
And yes, I too would like to see images of someone elses Napoleonic extravaganza. I am foaming at the mouth to try another battle !
