My wife and I watch and it's a real riot! We look forward to each show and would have thought a show about in Pawn Shop in Las Vegas would be so funny and interesting. I think it's on every Monday eveniong on the History Channel.

My favorit is Rick but on rare occasion it's a real screem seeing Chumlee trying to pick up on girls.

Carlos

yeah. its on every monday @ 10:00 PM and 10:30PM
the best part is that there is 2 episodes on 1 night.

I watch the show every week. I enjoy the characters and the odd things people bring in to sell. I also have been getting hooked on the other show. The seekers where the go to old farms and houses looking for antiques. John

you must be talking about american pickers.that show is pretty cool, too. i like to call them the wandering pawn stars.

Pawn Stars. Great! It's like a low rent Antiques Road Show.

One man brought in a Confederate sword but couldn't sell it because it might be fake or might be THOUGHT to be fake. Document your family heirlooms was the suggestion.

I love the show because of the crazy things folks bring in. I also get a kick out of what some folks think an item is worth and the looks on their face when they are told something totally different. Of course seeing what Chummlee will do or say is worth the time as well

The other show thats interesting is the one following it called American Pickers. Where this pair of nuts go out a root around in peoples junk and buy stuff. Amazing what they will buy and sell.

Dave

Chumlee makes the whole show, he is priceless, loved the episode where he dropped an item and it smashed through the showase.

Also love how they bring in an expert and the guy will say "This item on the open market is worth 1,000" and then when asked how much he wants for it by Rick, the seller will say "Well the expert said it is worth 1,000, so I want 1,000"...............ah no clambrain, 1 grand is what it is WORTH, how about leaving so room so I can make some money on the deal........

People are basically clueless.

I love the show too.The old man is hilarious.I didn't think a show about a pawn shop would be so good.Anybody see the show where the guy brought in a musketoon. That was really neat.

While I enjoy these shows, what in the world do they have to do with history??????? Maybe someone should start a network with shows like Ax Men, Dangerous Catch, Pickers, and Pawn Stars and let the History Channel go back to showing relative content programs.

Hear, hear! There are so many great shows created that are actually about history, yet these pop shows are repeated over and over, sometimes back to back...and have nothing to do with history (just because someone brings in an old sword does not justify watching Chumley for a half hour!). When I think of all the really stimulating documentaries made and an entire network supposedly devoted to history...and we end up watching a trucker driving in the snow for an hour...sheesh! Even Modern Marvels (which is the best of poor offerings) can be inane. I keep waiting for them to cover the history of dust.

You can't tell me they just ran out of history! The Ax Pick Dangerous Pawn Stars show needs its own network...far away from the one I'd like to see some actual history on. If they're really hard up for programming, just show re-runs of Gettysburg!

in the spring, history is having a 5-night event about the history of america, and did you forget about WW2 in HD?

Nope...I didn't forget...but you wait for months for an "event," while you are innundated with pop shows daily.

I agree with you guys.Even though I like these shows I agree they should be on another channel. How Planet Earth was Made and Life after People should be also.I remember a few years ago on Sunday nights HC and Discovery Channel always had something interesting.Forget TLC nothing on that anymore and how about all those marathons. How many times can you watch Dirty Jobs,Ice Road Truckers and Mythbusters. Here I go complaining again but these channels need to get some people who are innovative and visionary to breath fresh life into them.

We sold vintage toys and some days were like episodes of pawn stars.

I've been buying and selling antiques and all sorts of stuff pretty much all my life so Pawn Stars and American Pickers are very familiar to me and I like to watch both shows.

I am starting to get that feeling to find stuff and start selling/wheeling/dealing. It's fun and you can make some good loot out of it....
