Is it possible to post some kind of photo posting instructions? I am having a hard time doing it with my new Mac.

I was just thinking it would be nice to expand the FAQ area of the forum to give basic step-by-step instructions for posting, adding attachments, uploading photos etc. If anyone is interested in taking on any or all of these topics please put something together and send it in.
The more information we can provide in the FAQs the better. I'm surprised the basics of posting aren't standard with the forum software.

Any volunteers?

There are several ways to process your photographs so that you can post them on the TF forum. The easiest method is to simply resize them to around 95Kb using Microsoft Photo Editor or some similar photo package and attach it to your new message in the usual way by hitting the “Paperclip” icon. Unfortunately this results in quite a severe loss of quality.
Here’s the method I’ve been using for a while now. It works for me……With due thanks to The Lt. (Joe) for explaining to me how to do it.

Again, using Microsoft Photo Editor or some similar photo package resize your photos down to around 1Mb. Make any adjustments that may be required such as “Soften”, “Despeckle”, etc. Then save the result.

Paste the link below into your Browser;
http://photobucket.com/

Once you’ve signed up to Photobucket and you’re in your root Album, go to the panel on the left hand side and click on “Add a new Album”, give it a name (lets say for example, JOKES), then hit “Save”.

Hit “Browse” over on the right hand side of the window. Navigate to the previously saved photo(s) that you want to post, then hit “Upload”.

After the photo has uploaded to Photobucket, hit “Edit” in the blue text just above the photo. A new window will open. Hit the “Resize” option then select “15-inch Screen (800 x 600)".
Allow time for the photo to resize, then hit “View Album”.
This will take you back to your main screen. Minimize Photobucket down to your tasktray.

Now, open up the TF Forum by clicking on your Internet Explorer icon (or whatever Browser you use) and prepare your message.
Ensure that both the TF Forum and your Photobucket account appear in the tasktray at the bottom of your screen. Click on Photobucket in the tasktray, find your photo and left click on “IMG code”. This will copy your photos address to the clipboard.

Now open up your message by clicking on the TF Forum in the tasktray.
Place the curser where you want the photo to be in your message. Right click, then left click on the “Paste” command in the drop-down menu. The address of your photo will appear in the message.
Hit the “Review Post” button. If all looks okay, then hit “Submit Reply”.

This may appear to be complicated, but it’s in fact very intuitive. Once you’ve tried it a few times it’ll become very easy. Probably it would be a good idea to print this message out and follow the procedure step-by-step until you become familiar with it. You can post multiple photos simply by switching between Photobucket and your TF message, copying and pasting each time. Remember to put a space in between photos.
A note of warning, don’t move your photo into another folder within Photobucket otherwise your Browser won’t find it. I'm pretty sure that you can edit the address that will take your Browser to the new location of your photo, but I haven’t tried this yet.

Here’s one using the step-by-step procedure exactly as given above.

Mine burst out laughing - then told me not to be so stoopid, gave me a whack on the ear and to do it myself....????:confused:
I simply don't understand..?? :)D:D)

The principles are the same Ron whether its a Mac or a computer running Windows. Just remember to reduce your original photo down to around 1Mb first before uploading it to Photobucket.
