Tried this...I must be doing something wrong, I got a screen that said: "Blog not found

Sorry, the blog you were looking for does not exist. However, the name pinoytoysoldier is available to register!"

My apologies Ivanhoe and all you nice people who tried and didn't find it. My fault. I missed a letter S.

It should be pinoytoysoldiers.blogspot.com.au. Sorry guys. I hope you can find the blogspot now. Cheers!

Thank you for the correct link !

You really have diverse interests...like your Blog.

Your office display was a nice way to decorate and show your hobby.

It is nice that your eldest daughter will assist you and she shows some real talent at painting.
Judging from the pictures, you can see she has picked up some of your abilities.

Your conversion of the 'Detail' Saracen and Knight is amazing - Good job !

Thanks fro sharing your work.

Your deetail conversions are amazing! I also really like your plains indian and your other knights! You're a masterful painter. Thanks for giving us the link.

Thanks for all the kind comments Gentlemen! I will continue posting in my blog and share some pictures in our forum as well. Yes my eldest has the talent. Sadly she doesn't want to do it anymore. She has turned her sights into playing the guitar and is now a very good guitar player. I had a lot of fund converting the Deetail knights. I will show you guys more conversions. Right now I am working on a friend's Crimean war Russian army. We used Hat French Greatcoats and converted them into russian infantry. I will post pictures soon. Again many thanks for your kind comments. It's quite an honor being in this forum with great collectors and genuine blokes.

Sorry, I meant I had a lot of FUN and not FUND converting the Deetail knights. hahaha. No funds at all.

Thanks Robin, yes I am quite happy to finally share my projects with fellow hobbyists. I have more to feature including some projects we did if you don't mind. I might take some pictures when we do our get together next Tuesday. Tony and I might be there much earlier if you don't mind. :D

Hello Guys, you might want to check out some new things I posted on my blog. Cheers!

Hi Larry,
Please describe how you converted these figures. If it is not too hard I may give it a shot.
Best wishes,
Benjamin

I will try to document how I did the conversions Benjamin. But to start with, my tool kit consists of green putty, Blue Tac, Paper clips, Swiss army knife, hobby knife, sculpting pen, dental tools that I inherited from siblings who used to be dentists and two good pairs of clippers. I will take a picture of my toolbox. Cheers!

Larry

Larry,

Those Airfix conversions look great!

Can I ask which brand green putty do you use?

Scott

Thanks Scott! I use green stuff putty. I buy from an Aussie supplier through Ebay. His is similar to the one being sold by Games Workshop. The putty comes in a ribbon form with two colors, yellow and blue. You mix them together till they turn into a single hue of green and by then the putty is ready.

I know there are other sellers of the same or similar putty under different brands other than GW. GW charges way too much so I don't recommend that you buy that particular brand. I am a big fan of the green putty though as it is quite easy to manipulate and I've used it for everything from making horse reins, capes, flags, heads and limbs.

I hope this helps.

Just to clarify further and to make my answer to your question clearer Scott, I buy a generic green putty from this Aussie Supplier. There is no known brand. But I believe, for as long as you buy the yellow and blue A and B putty, you should have the same results. Each country should have its own share of manufacturers for this kind of putty, I reckon.
