I really like the pirates...I wanted one at least, and I found! Jack Sparrow in plastic, resin?.....But for 6 euros it is worth the money, and honestly, I appreciate it like some items costing 45 euros {sm3}

What worries me is the minimum age for it: 4 years {sm2}

PS: if someone has pirates, please post here!

Toysoldier companies really don' t make pirates( not even one by Delprado), very strange. They are one of my favourite themes as they recall fairy tales, and interesting historical periods full of adventures. There is also a big litterature about pirates: ex. Stevenson, Salgari, and many movies. Also, many british pirates in history should attract the anglo saxon public(the biggest buyers of toysoldiers).
So, I was happy to find these merry pirates in resin by a spanish company, double bigger scale than a usual toysoldier. I like they are bigger as they are not to be used for a diorama, but for a shelf decoration.{sm3}

PS: 15 euros each.

Nice Pirates Poppo!

The only maker (that I know of) that took a stab on Pirates was Conte. They were pretty nice.
Given the popularity of the Johnny Depp (Pirates of the Caribbean) movies one might think that they would be on someone's list to make but ....^&confuse.

Here in Mid-Coast Maine we have a week long festival called ... Pirate Days. They actually sail a pirates ship into the harbor and dozens of actors and local folks dress up. Mostly it is a good reason to drink beer and eat till you drop .... but that is just me.

However, there a many pirates soldiers for sale at various booths during the week. Some very cheap but some extremely well done and costly. Maybe next year you can come over to Maine and join in ...{sm4}

Arrrrggg Matey!

Wow, talk about a small world. I had a customer a number of years ago from Maine and he told me all about the Pirate Days festival, he said he and his friends all dress up like pirates, did pirate things and played pirate for a week, he was really into it and went on and on about it and how I needed to come up for a week and hang out with him.

It's funny because the whole time he was telling me this, I could hear a coo coo clock going off in the background..........:rolleyes2:

He dropped off the grid shortly after that, wonder whatever happened to him, maybe his Pirate friends got mad at him and made him walk the plank.

Have to give you people in Maine credit, you really know how to live.........:tongue:
