I finished my plague doctor conversion today and got him painted up and since he is almost a scratch build I figured I,d post it here in the sculpting section. I also added a Lemax rat to the base of the figure for fun and they are what helped spread the plague anyway so why not!
I kinda copied and got the idea for the figure from a casting I came across on ebay.

Here is the figure I copied him from along with the figure in the rough stages.

Yes I did a lot of fishing but it,s a bit to cold for that right now! Been jamming again, got back into guitar and that has been keeping me busy for the last couple of years, getting my chops back up again and now starting to gig out again also. It,s fun as long as it,s not every weekend, then it can get to be a pain in the butt, and that,s why I quit playing for years. Now I,m back at it and I remember why I quit. Nothing more fun then loading up and dragging around equiptment at 2-3;00 am!:rolleyes2:

I have - and play - Soprano Ukelele a and also a Concert Uke - both acoustics ( though not at the same time - I hasten to add!). I like the skill you have displayed in sculpting the Plague Doc, Tim. Very well done. I see you have another case on the floor - is that another instrument? jb

Yes I have a lot of guitar and always bring at least 2 to every gig in case I break a string while playing. I have like 16-17 guitars? electric, acoustics and classical guitars. A few are high end models like the gibson les paul shown and others are just lower end models. I think the other guitar that night was a fender strat? I have another les paul custom also but it needs a re-fret job so I just picked up that one in the picture last year, it,s a 2007 les paul custom. my other one is a 1986 custom I bought new in 86 but I wore the frets down over the years and I need to find some one who knows what they are doing to replace them.
What kind of music do you play? I,m a classic hard rocker myself. Led Zep, Van Halen, Hendrix ect..

Fish I think you missed your calling! Your sculpting is inspiring!

All of the late 50's/60's stuff. Fovourites include

Elvis - Don't

Roy Orbison - Cryin'

Willie Nelson - Angel flying too close to the ground

Eagles - Peaceful Easy Feeling

Charlie Rich - Take it on home

Stuff like that - I can sing-along to.... :D Just easy - uke stuff really.

I had a third uke - but under pressure - I had to trim down to two. Apparently, I was taking up too much space ( along with my Toy Soldier collection).:redface2:
